I have had to buy this thing like three different times (no fault of the product). Once my son broke it, the second it was stolen (along with my car LOL), so the third time is a charm (hopefully). It's so cheap and does what it's supposed to do. You go into stores to try to buy FM transmitters and they are so expensive! There are so many different channels to search on to get good signals on this. I only have used it for my ipod, but it works great and like I said it's cheap!

After reading a few of the comments prior to purchasing it, I figured I'd give it a go since there are over quite a few reviews. The issue with it turning off when there is no signal is true. After three to five seconds it goes into standby mode. Not a nuisance at all. If the player, say ipod or other MP3 player, goes off after the songs end, the transmitter goes off. Resume your player in playing music or a movie, and it comes back on almost instantly! Not really seeing this a bad thing. Once you get the package in the mail, it is literally plug and play. No instruction manual comes with it to further prove it is that simple to use. This player even broadcasts the music with stronger amplification better than my Belkin battery operated one naturally due to the power outlet of the cigarette lighter socket. I got what I expected, better sound with very little static feedback during quiet moments such as when the song ends. Good investment!

For the price this is an excellent item. The sound quality is excellent most of the time, with only minor hiccups from time to time. Overall I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this product.
