Anyone know whats the best dimensions for the album art size to appear fully in the box on iRiver?
I had some 500x500 album art covers but it appears like a thumbnail inside the player.

Hi folks - hope alls well.
Wondering if anyone can help me with a new problem, as cant see it being covered thus far.
I have an iriver h340 with the latest rockbox on it. I have also added a ipod battery into it.
Everything works as it should aside from the recording function. (320 kps at 44,100)
I record a gig but when i listen to it back it starts to playback the recording quickly, then back to normal, then quickly, etc. Its like when you speed a record up for a while and then go back to normal, (although its only the speed that changes not the pitch)
It seems to happen after 15 minutes, and i've tried it with live music and dj music and it's all the same. The only other thing i think is happening is that it seems to progressively sustain at a faster speed.

I've finally got my act together and have installed a new battery in my 320, but now would also like to pimp the HDD. Would you believe I only had inSkinned my player so far and am still running iRiver software (tried Rockbox when it first came out - didn't catch on).
I found this drive on eBay: Toshiba MK8007GAH 1.8" CF 80GB ATA-6 IDE

Would one of you lovely people have a look at it for me. I've asked the seller about the dimensions - the spec says it's 5mm, but GAH on Toshiba drives would normally denote 8mm.
That would be pretty perfect me thinks - 80GB for €10...

I would like to buy a new 2200 mAh or even better , if possible, for my H120. I am looking at ebay and there are a few sellers from Hong Kong and a seller from New Jesey. I live in US so I think I can trust the NJ seller more, and it will arive faster. Can you guys recommend a battery/seller that is currently on ebay?

Think I declared victory too soon in saying I was successful with 240GB upgrade to my H340!
I replaced my previous mod of Toshiba 120GB ZIF drive (never a problem) with the above. Took some fiddling about to get it formatted (but that's Swissknife) but succeeded.
The problem is that it will only boot up into the native iRiver s/w, & refuses to boot into Rockbox.
Here's what happens:
-- when default boot (to Rockbox) I can hear 1-2 attempts of the HDD spinning, then it stops & get (dreaded) 'ATA error: -32 Insert USB cable and press a button'
-- nothing works & can only switch the unit off
-- when force booting into iRiver it works absolutely fine, HDD begins to spin immediately [although takes ~60secs to get to WPS as have a lot of files on the disk]; & when it does, it play...

I left the radio on my H10 20GB on and the battery ran completely flat - after a recharge it works fine, except the screen is now really bright - making it almost hard to read and draining the battery.
There doesn't seem to be an option to change the brightness, so I did a recovery format and reinstall of the firmware, but this has not fixed it.
Is this a common fault, is there any way to fix it?

Is it ok to leave an H1XX plugged in for extended periods of time? I'm planning on using it connected to my home stereo, preferably plugged in. An problems with that? Thanks
